Basic Life Support (BLS) Class training is designed to help students recognize a variety of medical emergencies by providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage and more. Our training course ensures that students are able to develop critical thinking skills, swift BLS response, and proper skill execution. We cover training that is suitable for infants, children, and adults. With this, we provide a comprehensive theoretical discussion and a series of hands-on practical tests using real-life scenarios to equip our students for any and every emergency.

BLS Class Course Modules

BLS class course training involves several modules that help our students gain the necessary ability to act upon a variety of emergencies.

Here are some of the modules you’ll encounter:

1. Introduction to BLS

We provide a simple and informative discussion covering theoretical aspects of the definition of BLS and its importance, goal, and purpose in our everyday lives. By fully understanding BLS, students will have an easier time to train and hone their skills.

Here are some of the objectives to cover:

  • Importance of BLS to community, schools, workplace, and society.
  • Similarities and differences between BLS and First Aid.
  • Identifying and understanding the Chain of Survival and its role in BLS.

2. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an essential BLS skill that helps circulate blood back to the heart, brain, and other vital organs. We teach CPR techniques that can help save a life during a critical cardiac arrest. Providing chest compressions, rescue breaths, and hands-only CPR to infants, children, and adults.

3. Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is another important skill in a BLS class. Proper use of AED during critical emergencies is a powerful thing that can essentially save a victim’s life. We ensure our students know what an AED is and how it works. In addition, we ensure that they are able to operate an AED on children and adults in any given situation. Lastly, proper safety operations and troubleshooting are included as well.

4. BLS Airway Management

Airway management is a complex and challenging task that is crucial for a victim. As part of BLS class training, we teach our students the meaning of having a safe airway. Additionally, it covers a series of techniques to open a victim’s airway through mouth-to-mouth, mouth-to-mask, and big-valve-mask ventilations.

5. Safe Relief from Choking

Choking is a much more severe threat than you think. As a result, BLS class training teaches students the fundamentals of airway management. We train students on the following tasks:

  • How to distinguish signs of choking.
  • Different techniques for relieving choking in infants, children, and adults.
